I have had multiple emails/message regarding what to carry on a winter trek and every time I end up sending the image of one ready list form my diary. Well, not anymore. This lazy guy has taken out time to list them down here for everyone’s usage:
No compromise List:
- A good bag pack (Decathlon / Mount track)
- Waterproof shoes (Decathlon)
- Trekking Pole
- Headlamps
- Medical kit
- Band-aids
- ORS
- Cotton / Dettol
- Antiseptic cream
- Moov
- Disprin
- Combiflam
- Avil/Allegra(allergies)
- Some antacids
- Norflox / Roko – for loose motion
- Dimox (for AMS)
NOTE: Do not carry excessive medicines
- Polaroid goggles
- Two water bottles
- Doctor’s certificate (as per requirement of trekking organizer)
Toiletries:
- Toilet tissue roll (dry only, minimum 2): Wet tissue are non-bio-degradable
- Sanitizer
- Toothpaste + brush + mouthwash
- Lip balm
- Sunscreen
- Moisturizer
- Sanitary napkins
- Small towel
Clothes:
- Undergarments (one for each day)
- Socks (Number of days / 2): 2 woolen socks. Rest Cotton
- Base layer/inner
- T-shirts
- Dry fit full sleeve: 2
- Dry fit + cotton mix: 3 + 1 (reserve)
- Trouser: 2 + 1 (reserve): Trekking trouser from Decathlon (Reserve one can by normal winter dry fit track and filed lower).
Note: No cotton trouser/ No jeans - Fleece jacket

- Winter woolen cap / Balaclava
- Poncho
- Gloves
Accessories
- Cap
- Utensils: tiffin box, a plastic/aluminum mug, spoons, and butter paper (to save your life from constantly washing you utensils in winter

TIP: If you are traveling in a group, distribute medicines, toiletries, and food among yourself to distribute your weight
